Thursday’s DEED report showed Minnesota is creating jobs at twice the national rate
ST. PAUL, MN – Minnesota’s historic economic growth under Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan continued in July according to numbers released by the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). The state’s historic rate continues to be the lowest ever recorded by a state. Under Governor Walz and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan’s leadership and partnership with Minnesota’s business community, Minnesota is creating jobs at twice the national rate.
“This jobs report demonstrates Governor Walz’s and Lieutenant Governor Flanagan’s economic agenda is working, ” said Walz-Flanagan campaign manager Nichole Johnson. “By making investments in the areas that matter most to Minnesota’s families, like schools and public safety, and championing fiscal responsibility and middle-class tax cuts, Governor Walz and Lieutenant Flanagan are delivering results to move Minnesota forward. ”
The Walz-Flanagan administration has prioritized working with businesses and workers all across the state to cut red tape and expand economic opportunities, resulting in strong economic growth and an unemployment rate of half that of the nation.
